ParticipantHi all,
its been nearly two years since I first came here looking for help, until this morning everything was fine with my trusty Bosch WFF2000.
The drum still spins and the washing cycles still complete, no problems here……however the machine is getting noisy.
On inspection the drum is stiff to turn by hand, I replaced the bearings about 2 years ago and everything was fine. Is it possible that the bearings have gone again already or is there another moving part related to the drum that needs looking at?
I’ve also seen lots of people asking about motor brushes, should I order up a replacement set and swap them out as I feel I’ll have the machine apart on saturday LOL
thanks guysRusty

Participantyou need to do the usual checks!

is it free? is it stiff? is it rumbling is there any up/down playin in the drum?

ParticipantRe: Bosch WFF 2000 – Stiff Drum but still turns
hey,
thanks for the advice so far…
no that the sun is on its way down i’ve stripped the washing machine and quickly found a problem. The large wheel that causes the drum to turn by the drive belt is wobbling badly.
I have taken the drive belt off, its fine and no damage here.
I have take the large bolt out of the middle of the wheel which has exposes the inter-meshing teeth between it (the drive wheel) and the centre pin of the drum.
The teeth on the drum side look fine and appear undamaged.
The teeth on the large wheel are almost completey gone, the metal almost smooth.I hoping a replacement wheel will sort the problem out but don’t know the name of the part or when to get it.
I looked online and none of the usual places have a picture of the part i need. It basically a large silver wheel that connects to the drum and as the drive belt running around it.hope you guys can help
cheers

Participantits called a pulley
to get you the right one, we need the full model number
itll be on the inside of the door, usually ending gb/12 or something like that
a quick email to the online shop should be able to get you one quickly

ParticipantBefore you order a pulley , check for movement between he inner and outer drums by grabbing them at the front edges. If there is any play on theinner drum i.e you can move it or wobble it in relation to the outer drum , then its probably the bearngs gone again. Have never had problems with Pulley on these.
