ParticipantI have a Bosch WFF 2001 which is leaking water from the door.
A Bra got caught in the rubber seal that the door closes onto and has made a small break in the edge of the seal – I am also not sure if any strain has been put on the door because when closed you can still push the botton further in.Apart from this the machine works OK.
Can anyone help with suggestions as what to do?

Replacing just the door seal should do the trick normally, I doubt the door would have been damaged to be honest.
You can get the door seal here 😀
If you’re unsure, check the repairs@ link below for an engineer, power off if self fitting :zap:

Many thanks to Dave_Conway for your reply.
I have looked at and ordered the part can you tell me how involved it will be changing this seal?
On a temp. basis I have solved the leak problem by wedging a piece of wood between the door and the wall to push the door in more and close the seal up, do you see any problem with that on a temp basis?

Pretty straightforward really but we can’t for legal reasons tell you how to change it precisely.
I wouldn’t wedge the door to be honest as that may well damage it, the part won’t take long to arrive when/if you decide to order it (not ordered from here yet anyway) 😉

Many thanks for your reply, I know you said “can’t for legal reasons tell you how to change it precisely”, but can you just tell me does it involve removing the drum from the machine?
Many thanks.

Heavens no! Access to the seal via front panel removal OK? (you can figure it from there I’m sure – if not? Click the repairs link below) 😉

Hi
Just read your thread with interest as we have just bought a wff 2001 second hand last night and when I did a google search in NZ! your thread came up…as I need help with what is what.
5/6/7 cycles. What does that mean ?(No manual came with the machine) and is there a cycle that I can do cold…or nearly cold that isnt going to take 2 1/2 hrs like the 90 deg one did or 1.55 like the 40 deg coloured did.?
I realise now after reading your posts that it takes that long to heat the water etc….which means more money for power etc so dont want to do that (as electricity like everything else is expensive in nz)I had a gorenji pacific (I know…old, but bought it new 15 yrs ago when Yugoslavia was yugoslavia!) but it just stopped 2 days ago…and too hard to get parts etc and so bought the bosch for $160.
any help with what the numbers mean would be great!! thank you 😆
