ParticipantI posted a while ago about my fabric conditioner drawer swimming with water. I followed all suggestions, ie thoroughly cleaned the soap dispenser drawer, soap box etc and paid special attention to the jet holes in the roof. It worked fine for a while. Now, I can’t get it to work properly at all. The compartment is full after EVERY wash. I have to pour the water down the sink and start again each time, to no avail. Also, sometimes (not every time) the conditioner drains away before I’ve even had a chance to close the drawer and start the wash.
I’m tearing my hair out now! What else can I do? Are there any other bits/tubes/holes I can clean? My washing feels and smells horrible 🙁 Does this machine sound like a right off?
I’ve got a feeling the pump is on it’s way out too (thats another problem) 😡
Are there any washing machines out there that don’t have this conditioner problem? ie a different design maybe?
Sorry to bang on again 😳

It would have been better Carol had you continued using the original thread because unless folks that read this get the full story, they will ask of you the same questions 🙁
So here is the link to the original post for those unfamiliar with ‘the case’. 😉

When you pull the drawer out and discover water left in the compartment it is easier just to pour a glass of water into the compartment, then it should all drain away! (saves taking the drawer out each time 🙂 )

That usually indicates you’ve overfilled it in the first place and by pushing the drawer in sharply, started the syphoning process! 😯
To be honest, going through all that has been written on the subject here, my conclusion is that you simply need to have the dispenser unit replaced. Its old and scaled up by now I reckon, time for a new unit in there (not an expensive job either) 🙂
