Bosch wff1800 washer

Unblocked reservoir and changed heater.

Customer still complaining that machine, on the last rinse, is overfilling. I have been back to check the machine and can’t get the machine to overfill. Pressure system fine, no blockages, no holes in p/tube.
My question is….has anyone had the cold valve intermitantly stay on? pressure switch intermittanly play up? timer intermittantly stick on last rinse position?

(side issue: can i fit a standard solenoid valve in place of the bosch one?)

Nope never had an intermittent pressure switch or timer(not that the timer would cause an overfill?) I have had a split pressure hose that only showed when it was flexed in a particular way 😉

Other than that the valve sounds a good bet, and i have fitted a standard valve before to get out of trouble with no problems 😀

I agree, and the Qualtex VAL25 is the way to go! 🙂

Cheers for replys. What is the difference in operation between the bosch valves and the standard universal valves?

In theory, none – but they are shockers for slow shut off/not shutting off.

Messy fitting a standard valve too because they need holes drilling in the back panel to fit as the Bosch valve is the plastic slide ‘n fit type! 😉

Universal valve fitted, machine now ok. Just filed two grooves in shell of machine to allow screws to line up with screw threads of valve. £3 valve instead of a £25 one, always a good result.
