I have searched the forum and found a few instances where the prewash indicator flashes a number of times to indicate what the fault is, however mine is just flashing slowly and continuously. The machine itself indicates that the cycle has ended, but the prewash indicator is flashing and the clothes are dripping (so clearly they have not spun). The pump itself was replaced about 6 years ago and the motor brushes were replaced just over a year ago.
    Any suggestions?
    Many thanks,
    Shaun.

{edit} PS. A couple of further bits of information, the machine will spin fine, but it wont rinse and spin so I guess that’s pointing towards the pump right (although the drum is not left full of water)?

Update: Checked inlets, drain and pump. Inlets and drain were clear, but pump had lint and fibre deposits, so cleaned that out and watched it do a full rinse and spin without any problems. Let’s hope that’s the last of it because I really don’t want to have to replace this reliable machine which must be about 20 years old now. 😀

Unfortunately the slow flashing prewash indicator made another appearance today, so cleaning the deposits from the pump was only a temporary measure. Just wondering if a slow flashing prewash indicator points towards a pump replacement.
