My trusty old WFF2000 seems to be having a crisis. It won’t pump out at the end of a wash – it sits there full of water. It’s also making a grinding noise which I think is it trying to do something, maybe the pump. The prewash light is flashing twice, but my manual doesn’t have this error code. Strangely it pumps out fine when selecting the pump out programme, so the pump seems to be working and the water disappears off down the drain no problem.
Now it’s just pouring water out of the dispenser drawer too.
I’ve cleaned the pressure switch chamber and the waste chamber, whisch has stopped it overflowing out of the drawer!
But the problem seems to be that the machine just keeps taking in water on the final rinse. Only stopping the feed pipe cures it. If you turn off the power, it still takes on water. This is only happening on the final rinse bit – the rest of the programme runs fine
Your appliance has a hot and cold fill valve. My guess would be that the cold valve is sticking open.
The initial fill for wash probably uses just the hot water valve and the rinse is always in cold.
Try selecting a cold wash and see if it overfills then on the first fill. If it does , then you’ll prbably require a new cold fill valve .
It just overflowed on a 60 degree wash on first fill – it just didn’t stop coming in. There is a pressure switch, but this didn’t kick in at all. In fact, the level in the pressure chamber never rose at all.
