    Hello,

I’m new to the forum and hoping I can get some advice please.

We’ve had a Bosch WFF2000 for about 10 or 11 years (I think). It’s been trouble free up to the last week or so when we noticed it making an odd noise while running (my suspicion was bearing noise from somewhere, not sure if it was drum or motor though).

This afternoon it’s stopped altogether mid-programme. Moving it manually through to the end, it appears that the drum won’t/can’t turn, but I can hear the pump running to empyt water out and it seems to fill at relevant points too.

Once it stops, the pre-wash light is flashing 4 times in bursts. From searching here, I’ve learned that’s the fault code, but I can only find a description for 3 flashes!

Can anyone help and let me know what 4 flashes means please? As the machine is fairly old, I’m reluctant to do too much without being fairly sure it will fix it.

    Re: Bosch WFF200 problem

    Hi
Pre wash lamp flashing suggests a fault with the motor turning for whatever reason.
Power off before investigating further. If you are in any doubts please use the link below to find an engineer and make someones day 😀

    Re: Bosch WFF200 problem

At 10 years old the carbon brushes in the motor will almost certainly need to be replaced. Both types can be found in the shop@ facility.

Power off if you plan to investigate.

To add to Mr P’s post, we would need to know what make the motor is in order for you to obtain the correct type as there were two types fitted to some of that model, also can you give the full enr eg WFF2000GB??/?? so we can be sure.

Un plug appliance before attempting the mission.

    Many thanks.

The numbers off the back are WFF2000GB/01 and FD7507. I hope these are the relevant ones.

I took the back off and had a look (not gone any further). There is a black coating of fine powder around the motor which I guess could well be the remains of the brushes. I didn’t note the motor number and I’ve put the back on again now!

    Hi
Original part number is 154740, but use the spares link below to find equivalent if required.

    Re: Bosch WFF2000 problem

I debated doing the job myself, but decided in the end that calling someone who knew what they were doing was likely to get the machine back up and running sooner and with more certainty!

The local engineer from the web site is Carey’s in Ipswich. The engineer has just been, fixed the problem (it was new brushes needed) so we’re back with a working machine.

Thanks to all on the web site and the engineer for your help.
