Jumps into spin just as if there was a tacho fault but instantly cuts out again. Motor & tacho check out ok. Brushes ok. Tacho to timer wires ok.
So it has to be the hybrid timer. (AKO 513 005). Shall I get one from QER?
What’s so odd about this one is the way the motor just gets this instantaneous burst and then stops again. Bit like what those Hoover P55 motors do when the tacho goes o/c.

Bursts of spin then slows down then spins again equates to a faulty MOTOR and not the Timer/Module unit 😉

(Just back from major PC failure)
    Update on this one.
Checked motor on seperate lead and it worked fine.
Sent timer to QER. It came back with a NEW TRIAC (Come on guys, why didn’t you know this?)and now all works fine.

Great result then, top man

I wonder why the Triac went though? Bet it is something to do with the motor

Not had that timer/module fault for at least 5 years, but never had a tacho fault on a bosch motor for your info.

I hope you’re right,Martin! Just so happens this was a “guest house” owner who had sold the house complete with machine (and rather dodgy tenants) to a wealthy investor. So he just wanted it working on handover day! 😀
