Bosch WFF2000GB Not Spinning

Well, the machine stopped spinning so I looked on this site to find that the prewash light flashing four times meant that the brushes needed replacing.

I ordered the brushes on Thursday from ukwhitegoods [excellent service] and they arrived today.

I fitted them and fired up the washing machine – and it still does not spin.
I am still getting the four light flash code.

Any ideas?

Does the motor turn at all John? (on wash perhaps?) If not then its a bit more involved and best left to call out the experts 😉

Hi Martin,

The motor does not turn but everything else works.

Does the four flash code mean something else apart from brushes then?

Have you used your test meter to check for continuity across the armature? They can stick in the brass holders if not cleaned of old carbon dust.

Power off please.
