I have a Bosch WFF 2000GB12 FD 770603020 washing machine that refuses to spin, the suds pump is clean with no blockage, the mains supply is ok,water pressure appears normal, the drum will rotate by hand but the machine wont spin at any speed. The prewash light flashes an error code 4.New motor brushes and a cold water solenoid were fitted 2 years ago,at which time the belt was examined and appeared ok.Can anyone suggest what the problem is and how to repair please.

Might be worth checking those brushes again, it all depends on just how much use the machine gets and if you had genuine or best quality pattern brushes fitted or not. 😉

I would agree with iadom , it sounds like brushes have got stuck in the holder. More than likely if pattern brushes were fitted.

I have now stripped the motor down. The brushes were I believe good pattern parts and neither appeared stuck in the holder.I cant see any evidence of overheating in the motor,it spins easily by hand and the brushes aren`t chipped or damaged. The copper wire from the brush carbon to the brass connector is sound .The commutator segments were a little dirty but no visible evidence of overheating or damage that I can see.I have now cleaned the commutator and pushed the brushes up and down in the holders and all appears well. Before I reassemble, what is an acceptable length of the brushes please, they are 16mm at the moment ?
