ParticipantWe had a problem with our house water system the other day and for a while there was very low/non existent pressure during which time the washing machine was running. We fixed the problem but since then the washing machine flashes up fault code 1 suggesting it is not getting water. I have cleared both sets of filters twice checked for flow and there is nothing wrong but it still flashes up the code after about 10 mins into the cycle. The water pumps out ok, it spins fine if I put it on the spin cycle only. I am flummoxed anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Sean

Hi Sean
There is a chance that a fill valve solenoid/s have failed.
These can be easily checked with the appliance unplugged.
Each of the three solenoids should read approx 2-4 Kohms individually.Regards

Hi Greg
That was spot on 🙂 its the middle solenoid, one side of the cold fill. Any idea where I can pick one up.
This is a great forum. I have grown quite attached to the Bosch, its on its 3rd set of brushes has had the circuit board rebuilt after a lightning strike, new seals etc. Nearly one of the family so would be sorry to lose it.
Thanks again.

Hey thought I’d just like to thank you guys as I have fitted the valve today and the machine is back on stream 🙂 Especially as before Penguin had posted me that link I had a quote of £107 from another website for that part (cost me £24 inc postage). There are few things more satisfying than keeping something perfectly reasonable going rather than dumping it on some scrap heap and buying another! That said my Zanussi spin dryer seems to have given up the ghost and although I suspect it is the brushes I can’t figure out how to get to them so I shall maybe have to eat my words 🙁 Anyone recommend a good spin dryer replacement?
Thanks again.

Care to name and shame because that is absolute daylight robbery.
