I need to change the brushes on a Bosch WFK2801 – but note there are different motors and different brushes for these.

Am I right in saying that the standard brushes like these which are listed for the wfk2801 will not work?

I’ve not taken the unit out to have a look but did see from the outside that it is an FHP motor:

    Which brushes do I need?

    I did see these:

With note saying to look at these as a low-cost alternative:

This low cost alternative doesn’t mention the WFK2801GB/01 though – in fact it doesn’t mention Bosch at all.

    Thanks in advance

They will fit your Bosch OK. 😀

Cheers for the reply on a Sunday Martin – i’ll order a set then 🙂

Are these difficult to fit compared the the other type with the external springs?

Too right 🙂 This is a lovely machine to work on.

So i’ve got them in – it is spinning. The old brushes were about half a centimetre long!

I am getting a bit of a whine from the motor now – i’m assuming this is the brushes bedding in? I did clean the com with an old toothbrush – it seemed fine, little bit of carbon came off. If it is just bedding in, how long should it take? I’m putting it on multiple spin cycles to see if the noise settles down.

Several low speed spin cycles are best. Don’t be tempted to put it on full warp speed until they have bedding in. 😉
