ParticipantAccording to customer this machine works perfectly as normal except at the end of the cycle , instead of the display going to “0” and the door interlock releasing , the display stays at “1” and the only way to open the door is to switch machine off. The interlock then releases and door can be opened.
Is this an electronic fault or perhaps the door interlock or any other ideas ❓Thanks
Bryan

Pressure switch? Won’t unlock if it thinks it’s got water in?

I had this one a while back.
I remember tracing it to being a timer fault.
Lot cheaper just to switch off and wait.

Draining ‘time out’ is the most usual cause (i.e. Clogged up Vented Drain Container etc) very often several minutes may show on the display too 😉

Thanks for the replies guys but this machine functions normally other than door interlock not releasing at the end and “1” in the display.
I would have thought pressure switch or water draining problems would have resulted in fill/spin problems 😕The customer is doing as Mike suggested and simply switching power off to open door and washing is perfect.

Sorry Bryan, Chris and I assumed you were just enquiring before you actually went to look at it yourself, as customers often can give misleading information after all.
I could have sworn it was a time-out fault, ah well 😕

Have you checked for heater down to earth ❓ , many Bosch machines of this series will stay locked although the cycle has finished.

Hi Bryan, I realise this was some time ago but did you ever resolve this as I have the same model with the same fault ?
