Arr… you used to be able to. Last person doing it up here that I knew of was in Featherstone – John Bunting, IIRC. Otherwise, I can’t really advise – can’t even find his phone number.
It is basically a mechanical problem. The pulley was “sweated” on, so the answer is probably heat. Perhaps a local engineering shop might be the easiest solution.
I used to do this regularly on the old AEG motors, using a 30 tonne gear puller. Even with that, you had to occasionally leave it under load, go and have dinner, then come back and scientifically tap the puller before the d@mn thing would break free. Never succeeded with a Bosch one yet. 🙁
