Bosch WFL2260UK/04 takes very long time on wash part of cycle. E.g. 40 degC Easy care setting, which should take 75 mins, now takes 150 mins. First two hours is spent washing then three rinses/spins as normal. Water filling and pumping out fine. Not certain if heater is working as so little water used but don’t know if this is relevant. Other wash programmes also taking very much longer than they should. Mechanically machine sounds fine. Any ideas as to where the problem lies?

It does sound like the heater is not working? On a 40 degree wash you should notice the door glass getting warm after its been washing for 15 mins or so? If not then that confirms the heater is to blame. 😉

I checked the heater and found it open circuit across its terminals. The replacement heater is now installed and the machine is working fine – cycle times back to normal (and the door gets warm!). Thanks for the advice.
