Going to this on Tuesday, don’t have anything other than model No, customer was ringing from the pub. 🙂

Just over 2 years old, he has already fitted new brushes 😥 and says it will wash but not go into spin. Not sure if this was the original fault, bet he hasn’t saved the old brushes.

    Any pointers ?

    :lesson:

Called to similar, husband had fitted brushes, no wash or spin afterwards. I took the motor off, saw the commutator had been polished, then saw that the torx head screws holding the motor together were a bit chewed up. Stripped motor down, the contact blades of the brush holder plate were now bent, and not going into the spade connectors on the windings.
Straigtened them up and rebuilt motor, making sure the contact blades were located properley. Cost him more than if I had fitted the brushes.

More likely filter blocked or pump jammed. Ace.

Thanks for reply, forgot to mention he said that it washes fine then goes to the end without spinning and the ‘End’ light is flashing.

Sounds like a pump fault 😕

Just so that you can award yourselves a medal, small nail & 1p coin in pump. The bloke had taken out perfectly good 1/3rd worn brushes and taken them to a local shop, they told him there was nothing wrong with them but he insisted on buying some, they sold him the naff non gen ones and advised him to pinch up the holders. Fortunately they had saved the old gen brushes because I only had to waggle the brush terminal for it to drop out. You get some measure of the problems we face trying to educate the public though. She has gone through 3 machines in ten years, always paid for a service contract until her latest ‘partner’ ( the brush changer) said “buy a Bosch and don’t bother with the contract” , very good advice in my book. She said to me before I had even had a look that she was thinking of throwing it out and buying a new £200 tin can with a contract. 😥
