Hi,
We have a nine year old Bosch washing machine, WFL2450GB/01 -and it has developed a new fault.
I had found all the electric sockets in kitchen not working, and discovered these had been tripped by washing machine.
Reset RCD, pressed start button on washer and tripped again!
From researching site, this could be down to a number of potential component failures. But what we have done to help isolate fault – is to inspect the motor (brushes ok, commutator clean) – and then leave motor unplugged from block connector. The machine then starts a normal cycle – no trip!
So it would seem to indicate a motor fault. I wanted to check with others to get confidence if by replacing the motor we could be pretty sure this will fix fault. I see new motors on offer at £200 – so would ideally be looking for a used one- as the machine is getting on a bit… 😉
Thanks
T
