Fault:- set program, press start button, and door locks – ‘active’ led lit. Pump starts then machine stops with ‘ready’ led lit. Press start again and ‘active’ will only stay for a couple of seconds then ‘ready’ lit again; interlock is still locked.
Took the board out and examined the solder joints just in case; no signs of damage or dry joints at all. I’m thinking it’s a fault on the PCB; any other ideas?
You didn’t happen to check the heater / ntc did you?
Normally it is the board but I have had one with a faulty heater & one with corroded ntc terminals.
Yes Tim; checked everything – heater, motor and the complete machine for earth faults – all OK. All wiring looks fine; took out the PCB and refitted the connections, checked the solder joints…..so it’s got to be the PCB then.
£205 retail from BSH……..don’t think I’ll get that job TBH…. :rolls:
