Hi my bosch wfli2440gb is about 4 years old now and I have never had any problems with it , only just recently it has started getting noisey when on spin cycle. Could it be the bearings? If so,how hard is it to change them on this model. I have changed bearings before on my old machine (diplomat).
Or could it be something else that I should check ?
Remove mains plug, take off the belt and spin the drum by hand.
If it is noisy then it will be the bearings, if it is nice and quiet then you may just have a pump obstruction or noisy drain pump, check the pump filter.
Bearing change on these is not for the faint hearted, the whole drum has to be lifted out and then split, lots of very awkward clips to break/cut off to get it apart.
Thanks for that, I’ll check that out this weekend. If it turns out to be the bearings ,those awkward clips that you mention , can I get replacements for them?
Thanks again.
No, they have to be snipped, hacked, chiseled or removed by any means at your disposal.
A new drum seal kit includes a full set of screws to secure the two halves.
I can’t for the life of me understand why on earth they build them like this instead of just screwing the drum together in the first place like everyone else. :rolls:
