ParticipantHi Guys,
I am new here and am looking for any thoughts or previous experiences with a Bosch WFO 2260 washing machine.
The washing machine won’t spin the clothes dry, it runs the programme and gets to the spinning cycle and stops. The timer goes back to 0 as if its finished, when you take the clothes out they are soaking wet.
I have checked to see if the filter is blocked and it seems to be fine, the machine fills up and drains the water with no problems. But now I am unsure where or what to look for.
The last thing I want to do is go straight out and buy a new machine, I would like to do a process of elemination. Any advice would be highly welcome.
Cheers

Following on,
I am really unsure what to do, do I replace the pump and or replace the bushes.
Checked a few things last night, the machine makes a horrible noise when you put it on the spin cycle (as before it still won’t complete the spin cycle). The machine will take water in and drain out after a cycle and the impellor seem to go round (I am assuming this is working correctly).
I am really unsure what I should replace. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I would like to order the relevent parts and hopefully get it fixed over the weekend.
Please help a very frustrated Rich :haier:

if only cos i would say celine dion singing is a horrible noise, but not heard a washing machine like that before….
scratchy? scrapey? whiney? clunky? brapppy? mechanically buzzy? electrically fizzy? shingly? rubbly?(sp)does the pitch change, is it high or low, and how frequently does the noise repeat…

I would honestly say the noise is like a scraping sound.

I have gone ahead and ordered a New Pump and some Carbon Brushes, am going to tackle these at the weekend as long as they turn up in time.
I was going to fit the pump first and see if this cures the problem, if not then I was going to do the Brushes. Does anyone have any do’s and don’t about fitting these two items.
Cheers

easier to do if you remove the motor and make sure you get the chamfer of the brush the right way round, good luck 😀

I would say its the brushes that have worn right down as mine made the same noise etc .
Get them of ebay and get the laminated type for about £4, you can see how to change the brushes on this site there is a video on it plus you can look on youtube for it as well;)Dont bother with the pump take it back unused.Hope this helps Meloned.October 20, 2009 at 5:31 pm #298671boselecta
ParticipantIf it is the brushes, £4 brushes might work but most people in the trade know it pays more in the long run to get the Bosch genuine part.
Give your local engineer a call is my advice, I would rather pay more and get these job done by a professional than guess with pumps etc
good luck with the repair.
