Went to this machine where customer complained of no spin. Normal brushes worn which were changed, cleaned the motor as usual. Refitted motor and motor spins ok. Recalled the following day with another spin problem. Placed machine on spin goes through the distribute cycle and spins but not to max speed. Get to 6 minutes left on program and the aborts to 0 minutes. I did notice that the water valves appeared to bump which was strange as I’ve never had this fault before. Insulation and continuity checks carried out on the motor and loom to the control module. I suspect the control module unless anyone can advise me otherwise. Any pointers would be appreciated. Taff

Yep, dozens of posts on this problem. No doubt you did search that before posting? 😉

Control module prone to the motor earth leak problems and the ‘fuzzy logic’ all heads south. 🙁

Thanks for the fast reply, is going for scrap as an new module is almost as much as a new machine.

Were the new brushes arcing ie not bedded in yet. I have had to do 6 spins on a bosch brush motor replacement lately to stop the inlet valves kicking and aborting the spin before the lightning storm got too bad to start again working up from reduced spin speed.

Did you clean armature when you fitted brushes

Old Brushes were not worn out and armature was clean. I was replacing them on my mums machine. Bad cut angle on brush batch.

Sounds like unbedded brushes, seems to affect machines with digital displays moreso.
