Came down this morning to discover a pool of water with some suds in front of machine. It seemed to have come from the dispenser drawer as the water was in front and on that side of the machine. There were also some traces of water on the lower front edge of the tray and also some foam IIRC.

The water was clear with some foam so I think it probably spilled out during the conditioner/rinse stage, also it had not spread that far and there was not a huge quantity of water (a puddle about 8″ wide and 3′ long I’d say).

It was just finishing the final spin on the 40C cotton programme. When the machine finished the drawer was empty. FYI we use diluted conditioner and liquid detergent in the plastic ball dispenser.

It did this once before a few months ago but I put that down to the drawer not being fully pushed home.

I tried the rinse programme just now and it appeared to fill OK. Tomorrow I’ll try some more test runs but any ideas or suggestions in the meantime?

    Thanks very much in advance

You could try reducing the cold feed to the machine slightly. Report back and let us know 😉

Check filter for obstructions, then drain pump for function. If machine continues to wash throughout cycle without peforming the drain function correctly, the exact symptons you have described can occur.

Well, I checked the filter and ran a couple of test rinses & drains with no problem and machine has been fine ever since (touch wood).

A bit worrying but everything else seems normal, if it does happen again I will try notching back the pressure.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
