i’ve got a bosch washing machine model wfo2465gb which is just over 2 years old and out of warranty, today just as it was about to spin it went bang and tripped off the power, after taking it apart i’ve found that on the circuit board behind the knob that switches it to different wash cycles one off the tracks on the board has burned out and i was wondering if anyone has any idea if this is going to worthwhile repairing, i’ve had a look on the net but can’t find a price for this circuit board 🙂June 25, 2006 at 12:21 am #179957Penguin45

From memory, and the BSH site being offline at the moment 🙄 ; the board is around the £120 mark. However, it blows for a reason……. I would suspect the motor in view of your comments. Another expensive component.
If your machine is literally just out of the guarantee period, a call to BSH to discuss the situation may result in a favourable rate for the repair – they are one of the more “friendly” manufacturers.

Hi
For your info there maybe other factors that have caused that PCB to blow so replacement may not cure original fault.PCB/Module – 448306 – £83 +Vat and P&P BSH pricing
This part can be ordered from link below if desired but I would pursue Penguins route first.Penguin45 wrote:If your machine is literally just out of the guarantee period, a call to BSH to discuss the situation may result in a favourable rate for the repair – they are one of the more “friendly” manufacturers.

thanks for your quick replys, on further inspection the warrany ran out 3 months ago 🙁
so i think i’ll just scrap it and buy another, i’m a little dissapointed in it only lasting just over 2 years i don’t expect a washer to last forever as it gets used lot’s with having 2 kids but my old zanuzzi lasted for 10 years, i’ve seen a seimens washer with a 1600 spin speed for around the £500 mark with a 5 years warranty, or maybe i should be looking at a meile are they as good as people say ? 🙂June 25, 2006 at 11:15 am #179960Penguin45

Seimens is Bosch…….. Miele is Mercedes Benz quality and designed to last 20 years – this reflects in the price…. You might like to consider this:
