ParticipantThis machine stops at the drain part of the cycle and is left full of water. If I drain the thing the water gushes out of the filter access hole like a river. Any ideas – I love this machine and I don’t want to lose it?

Pump impellor jammed with a button, coin, hairgrip…whatever maybe?

How do I get to that. the back of the machine? (the base has a plate I can’t get off – the back has some kind of weird headed bolts)

From the front, directly behind the filter.

Thanks for that. I took the 2 screws oof the base of the front. Do I need to take the rubber seal off the drum (scary……) because the front only moves forward a few inches?

I dont want to seem rude, but if you want to save your machine then I would call out an engineer it may be the safest bet. As it sounds like you may be undoing things you shouldn’t.

….also I was suggesting you simply check the pump directly behind the filter cover and NOT taking the front panel off!

Sorry Martin – you seemed to be implying I could remove said obstacle.
oh hum – now if I can just find a reliable engineer who will charge me less than a new machine in L37 😆

Indeed I was, just remove round white drain filter and take a look inside pump/filter chamber to see if the 4 bladed pump impellor inside is not obstructed. No need to remove any screws, just peek inside, that’s all! 😉

I thought it the ‘impeller’ was a seperate box. Anyhow, just about to give it one last go this a.m., drained it all out (again), looked inside and saw what you meant – the fins – and there was the b*gger – a nail obviously from my little’uns collection!!If you were ’round here I’d take you for a pint – or two
many thanks
