BOSCH WFP3300GB help! – do i need to connect hot water?

I have a Bosch WFP3300GB, it has both cold & hot inputs.

I gathered from the other posts that connecting hot water simply shortens the wash cycle, because the water is allready heated somewhat.

Let’s say I only connect the cold water input, can my washing machine still work [however, it will take longer to finish a wash cycle?]

-or-

do I need to connect hot water?

-if-

I don’t have hot water available, can I run cold water to the hot water input?

Yes that’s perfectly ok…get yourself a ‘y’ piece and connect both hoses to the hot tap 😉

Incidentally, unless the source of your hot water is very close to the machine, the time saving using hot as well is very small anyway.
