Look up the part on Bosch’s own spare parts website (link below)

Well I’ve just checked the site using that link and it’s all there, schematic diagrams, part no’s and all.

OK, just give me the FULL ENr number if your machine. Do you want the control module that sits on the metal plate above the tub?

    Agree with Martin.

Where on your machine is this part ?

What is your complete Enr number ?

Why do you think this part is faulty as getting it wrong with Bosch can cost a bit

    Re: Bosch WFS4030 Control board

Apologies Martin you are right, found the diagram. I need the module that sits on the metal plate above the the tub part 00285737 costs £324.10
Dave – The Enr number is WFS4030GB/07 the machine shows no lights, i traced the power from the mains lead, through the program selector switch to the board. Took the board out and there was signs of overheating underneath the relay. One of the connection to the coil was burnt and melted.

    Re: Bosch WFS4030 Control board

seems like bosch has no stock anyway so getting board may be hard

post good pictures of both sides of the board and the damage

let have a look at it and see if I or anyone can think of something

    there is poss this
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bosch-Power- … 1393299315

if the board has gone pop there is always the possibility it has also blown the other board.

    Re: Bosch WFS4030 Control board

    thanks for pics

cant see properly as pics are not good enough to be blown up to see. needs ones like on the ebay site

not sure what that relay does but I am guessing heater, would need to see tracks and trace them.
if it is just heater then board should work without it. I am guessing the round red unit may be a transformer top power the board. if the is not getting power or has blown board wont work especially if the tracks from the relay go to it

    that’s where I would start

    Re: Bosch WFS4030 Control board

    Hi Dave

I think you are right – i fixed a couple of tracks and installed the board with out the relay and managed to get some of the lights to work.

Pressing the buttons switches the LED’s on and off.

The spin speed LED’s are not lit and the start/stop button does not work.

Will buy a new relay and install it tomorrow.

    Re: Bosch WFS4030 Control board

    Hi Dave

Put a new relay in and still it does not work.

Tried the link and contacted the shop – they may have sold the board.

If i did get a new board – would it blow again – is there anything else that could cause the relay to overheat and damage the board?

    Re: Bosch WFS4030 Control board

I would give the ebay shop a few days. they have a lot for sale (468 items) so I cant
    see them ignoring you

one of the possibility’s here is the other board may have blown as well so spending lot of cash to find out your wrong would not be good. You have to decide if you want to take the chance

have a real good look at all the tracks where it blew. use a magnifier and look for hairline cracks. its a long shot but that one is free

Also that Bosch board ebay advert says its capital group retail in Harrow

    http://www.capitalrepairs.co.uk/
could these be same people also in Harrow ?

    Re: Bosch WFS4030 Control board

These control boards are built like brick outhouses. Solid and reliable to the nth degree. Hardly any point in messing with it until you can establish what caused it?

    Major suspect : The Motor

    Re: Bosch WFS4030 Control board

looking at the original pictures again

The relay that has failed has burnt out on the coil connection which is nearly always bad news

This looks like a change over relay so it may control the motor so Martin may be right on the motor problem

you could check the motor but I think spending daft money on a board to see if it works may be silly

    Re: Bosch WFS4030 Control board

Okay so the prime suspect is the motor.

How can I test to confirm that it is the motor?

    What do i look for?

I have a digital avo meter.

    Regards
