Hi – wonder if anyone can offer any advice please? My Bosch washer dryer has developed a fault when I switch it on, it washes away normally but at the final rinse stage it stops altogether, and the number 4 starts flashing on the display. I can get it to work by switching it off, switching it back on again and overriding the main wash and rinse cycles, at that point it completes the cycle normally.

I got my local washing machine repair man out the other day but he said oooh no, the programmer is at fault, just carry on as you are, I don’t think it’s worth fixing…. but the machine is only 4 years old, cost me a packet, and I bought it to last me!

Is he right? Should I give up or can anyone give me any help with this please? Even if I could just buy a programmer and get him to fit it for me, that might be an option?

    Thank you!!

    Hi
No4 combined with the conditioning lamp being on, is a heating fault so armed with a multimeter I would go and see if heater has gone.
You would be looking at around 25 ohms for a working element.
Power off if you are to investigate.

Hi! Thanks so much for the advice, I will call my repair man and see if he’ll come out and take a look now – but this sounds much more promising than just giving up on it!
Thank you so much for taking the trouble to reply!
    Best wishes
