ParticipantHi all,I have a Bosch washer dryer WFT2800. The error code suggets a closed water supply tap or a blocked filter. I have checked the taps and cleaned the filters and it still errors. I will check all the internal hoses later today. Water does run into the soap tray ok when the m/c is running. Do I need to replace the cold water supply valve?
many thanks in advance of the answer!
merry Xmas to all.

With the plug out and lid off you can check the resistances across each of the
valvea (hot and cold)
Some programs will use the cold valve only (ie low temps) so you can check if you get the error across high and low temp programs.Another thought…due to the cold snap is it possible you have any blocked feed pipes?

Hi and thank you for the suggestions.
I will check the valves as you suggest. The feed pipes seem to be ok as I flushed them thru when I checked the filters.
How does the machine detect that there is no flow? Is there a sensor somewhere?

The fill valves will work via program time activation and also from a pressure sensor feedback connected to the main tub.
There may be other error monitoring. The pressure sensor feed pipe can block or the sensor fail………but check the valve resistances first.

Hi there all. I checked the hoses and they are not blocked. The resistance of the 4 cold valve solenoids and the hot are what I would expect. They show a connection with some impedance. They are not open cct.
I guess that this all means that the water valve has failed and thay even though it is working rlrctically it is not opening. I wil order a new cold valve assy.

I’m afraid the likely problem is from the board.
Try tracing the wiring back to the board and check continuity.
You may also be lucky and have a loose connector or obvious dry joint.
After that its probably new machine time.
……….approx £50 to repair the board or over £100 I should think for a new one.December 22, 2010 at 6:53 pm #339257nomadPaul
ParticipantBefore you do anything else , is there water flowing into the appliance or is there no water intake at all ?
If the water actually flows in , you might need to check the pressure chamber for gunging up . This is a white plastic ‘box’ situated on the bottom rear of the tub between the motor and heater . Take this off and check both the chamber and the hole/grommet where it connects to the tub. if this is blocked and the machine isn’t seeing the water level rise , it will give the error code you describe.

All,
I ordered a new cold water valve assy and installed it. The problem seems to be gone for the moment.
Thank you to all those who responded. I appreciate the input. I must say that based on this one experience of this forum I am impressed.
