Hi all, im after a bit of advice please.
My dryer is starting to not heat up.
The heating element is fine, 🙁 and when i press the reset button on the Limiter-temperature part no 032604, the heater starts to heat again. However, there is another part on the Bosch parts diagram listed as part no 154431 sensor-NTC, that i’m not sure if this has anything to do with the problem?
I am tempted just to replace the, Limiter-temperature part no 032604 but i dont want to waste money if there is another component that maybe at fault.
Can anybody please give me any advice on this problem?

Darren 😀Is your washing not drying at all ? Do you find it all wet , hot and steamy at the end of a cycle ? ( no pun intended with regards to your user name 🙂 )
If they are like that , there are a couple of possible causes .

Hi
When the reset button on the temp-limiter was pressed, the clothes dried fine, then it was left over night. When it was used the following day, the dryer didn’t produce any heat at all, and the clothes came out all cold n damp.
Any thoughts

It seems its only working on drying cycles 2 & 3 ? On drying cycle 1 it works occasionally, then stops working until the reset button is pressed on the temp limiter. This leads me to think on cycle 1 it may be getting too hot and tripping out..Am i on the right lines here? I have replaced the temp limiter, so that is not the problem..
Anybody have any advice on what to look at next to solve the problem ?

There are a couple of Bosch lads who post on these forums, it’s pot luck who is on-line at any given time and whether or not they pick up the thread. Bosch tech info is not freely available.
So, this is a washer dryer, rather than a tumble dryer; the very first things to consider are airflow and condensation. Does the fan motor run? Does the trickle feed from the condenser valve actualy work? Is the condenser housing full of fluff? These are quite straightforward to check, if these work, you may be looking at a temperature sensor problem (NTC device on the front of the heater duct.) or a problem on the PCB.
Stay safe, power off if you intend to investigate this yourself.

The fan motor is running fine, am trying to identify the condenser housing/ valve so these can be checked.I did think about the NTC device..Do you have any idea how this can be checked at all, using a multimeter perhaps ? If its a PCB problem, i think its time to change the machine as its over £200 for the part

Inlet valve – inside of the machine where the fill hose joins on. One of the coils is a feed to the condesnser. Nominal reading of 3.5kOhms when split from the circuit.
Condenser housing. The moulding under the blower motor. Prone to filling up with fluff and strangling the airflow. Poor airflow – overheats – safety trips.
NTC sensor. Should give a reading in kOhms when metered. This reading should fall as the device is warmed.
Power off first, please.
