ParticipantMy 6/7 year old washer drier is stalling in washing programmes and displaying error code 3+prewash LED +flashing anti-crease.
This indicates water input filters but these have been cleaned and also the pump impeller has been cleaned out but this has not rectified the problem.
I have run several prog 7 fluff cleans and a hot 90 degree wash but still no luck.Help!
I am guessing my problem might be with the controller but I canot see how I can access it to have a good look.Any tips? 🙁

With the appliance un-plugged, I would be looking at one of the water fill valve solenoids having bitten the dust.
They shoud read app 2-3 k ohms each.Greg

Hi Greg
thanks for response
I can see two inlet solenoids. One with the hot water inlet and a 4 valve configuration on the cold inlet.
I checked all by disconnecting the plug and checked resistance with a meter. All have readings approx 4.2kOhm.All there others further into the machine I should check?

No thats the only ones.
what is you water pressure like? Can you hear it whooshing in when you start a wash or rinse off?
If not, it could be a a kinked hose if the hose filters are clear.
Can also be a blockage in the water level pressure systemGreg

ParticipantThe setup is a hot and cold fill. Applince located on ground floor and fed by header tank in loft. Been OK for washing machine for 25 years.
There is a healthy flow noise on filling.
The machine goes through the wash OK but stops in the rinse sequence.
There are no kinks causing a prob and the filters are clear. That leaves the water level system. So can you guide me thru that?

Since the last post I have run the machine with the top off (very carefully) and note the following
On start up of programme both hot and cold inlet open and the main wash passes OK.
On the rinse part of the cycle the fill is via one of the cold water fills only and this fill times out to the error code state each time.
When the programme is stepped to the final rinse the input is vis two cold water feeds, the additional one I guess draws in the conditioner. This second feed seems much more vigourous than the first so perhaps this is the problem. The final rinse has no problems. While I was thinking there was a problem with the cold water input I now suspect the output of one of the four pipes (via solenoids) coming out of the cold water feed.
Is there a way of checking this one valve?
My idea is to take the short hose off to the soap dispenser to check it and the output side of the valve. If I need to replace the valve will I need to replace the whole assembly?
