Dryer does not heat.Element,stat,fan ok.Live to one heater terminal + live reading on other terminal when connected.When heater wire is traced it goes to a pcb/coil on base of machine(this is linked to main pcb).Suspect a neutral problem in this area? Its as though heater is turned off.Heater timer control is another suspect? Any ideas?

dont know specific machine layout but
have you checked pcb for bad solder joint on relay if relay on main pcb
have you checked relay ie is there a dc voltage on the relay coil
