bosch wfx2467 exxcel 1200 all 3 red lights flash

Hi, I have a bosch 1200 exxcell wfx2467 washing machine.It blew the mcb on the ring main and now all that happens when switched on is the three red LED lights flash, there is no display lit.
I changed the drain pump and checked for blockage in the waste pipe. It made no difference. Has anybody any suggestions? Thanks Keith.

The whole machine needs testing electrically with a insulation tester. Most likely trouble areas are motor and heater.

Hi Martin
The machine tripped the mcb whilst on the drain cycle, I have a main motor so I will change that. I presume it was in intermittent fault as it doe’s not trip the mcb now when switched on.

Throwing parts at it rarely solves an issue of this type. You’re far better off solving an electrical insulation problem by firstly locating the fault with a test meter. 😉

Can I use a megga or just the normal test meter, I am not sure about frying the pcb with a megga.

A Megger is just fine and won’t fry the PCB.
