called today fault reported rcd had blown,prior to this on spin cycle
it will run for 2 mins of 12 min cycle then after 2 mins revert to 1 min

therefore losing 10 mins of cycle, there was also no drum rotation ( brushes had been changed gen 6 month ago)

whilst i had back off a spark from motor took out rcd, removed motor
evidance of short from armature to end plate.very heavy carbon on armature, cleaned re-fitted and ran up

unit ran fine on 2 12 mins cycles (without clothes)

client has used after my visit…same problem arising struggling to rotate
and missing portion of cycle time

are we talking MOTOR shot it?
