    Bosch WNT3250GB/01 washer drier. FD8407 000112.

Called to this machine today: no drier heat. I noticed that the safety one-shot stat had tripped out, so I reset it (little red button on the stat). Drier now heated fine; although it did seem to run very hot. 😕 Checked and cleaned the condenser hose and plastic manifold – not much fluff in condenser. Also pushed the NTC back into its sleeve at the front of the heater chamber as it was halfway out. The fan motor makes a dry scratchy noise on run-down, but spins freely and does not appear to jam.
Surely the safety stat will only trip out if the temperature in the heater chamber is too high due to a blockage, overloading on drying or a faulty controlling NTC. (maybe the PCB??)
The machine had a new NTC under warranty and that time a fault code was experienced. No fault code this time.
Another engineer had attended the machine before me, reset the safety stat, charged his fee and left. Repair lasted just 2 days. Of course, the machine behaved itself impeccably while I was there!!!
    Any thoughts??

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Check fan blades, sounds like some are broken/missing

Also will trip if fan is cutting out, as will not distribute heat. I would say it probably needs a new fan.

    Don’t recognise the E-Nr though 😕
