Bosch won’t stop filling

My 2-3 yr old Bosch dishwasher has developed a fault. At start of cycle, after first pumping out, the machine starts to fill then won’t get past filling cycle. Water inlet will run, drain pump runs, water stops, float falls, starts filling again, drain pump runs …. etc…

When opening door I get the little tap light on (check water supply indicator) – manual says this means:
Tap turned off – NO
Water supply interupted – Do not believe s0
Filter in water supply blocked – taken out and cleaned, looks ok
Supply hose kinked – looks OK

I have checked:
Drain pump runs OK, pumps out fine, no blockages on drain inside machine.

Runs through 15min rinse cycle OK, so water getting into machine.

No water in base.

Any ideas??

Flow meter is probably defective – p/no 424099 – this little chap HERE in fact.
