Machine belongs to my ISE partner in crime, Evelyn at Star Supplies.
    model WFL2455GB/04

It threw the belt off last week, popped a new one on this morning and she mentioned that it didn’t always take fabric conditioner, works about once in five washes. 😕

Drawer clean, syphon working, using thin, runny conditioner. Solenoid valves appear OK.

She has been using liquid detergent and cool washes, a definite no,no in this ultra soft water area. The door sealed is badly gunged up.

I wondered if a partially gunged up pressure hose or chamber could cause this?

    Jim.

Would it be a WFL2450GB/04 I wonder? In which case it relies on there being a good mains pressure to allow the 2 cold feeds to converge with sufficient flow force? Hooking out the flow restrictor may be the answer? 😉

The holes in the top of the soap drawer casing get blocked -the easiest way to clear them i find is to use a large tie wrap (cable tie) or a piece of earth sleeving and push the blockage out or the back of the casing -I get loads of these and this usually works -allegedly it is because people dont do hot enough washes these days but i don’t see it on most others makes!
    Hope this helps

    Hi Jim
If water pressure is fine then just order 265957. For the sake of £4.40 +VAT it will sort it out and no recall 😀

I had the same problem yesterday on a Bosch.

I managed to clean the blockage away with a toothbrush (ie scrubbing around the 4 little square holes).
But as mentioned above I advised the customer that if it happened again, a new disp top would be required.

The normal way i used to deal with this prob was , as has been mentioned by someone already , a cable tie – However , having just bought a set of bottle brushes ( for the dishwasher prob ) , i’ve discovered that the smaller sized brushes will fit into the holes and give a much better clear-out – I have in the past also cut out the small dividers , thus making the four small holes one big hole !!!

On the models with loads of small holes in the central conditioner section , it is possible to ‘unclip’ the front of this bit and flex it downwards giving you access to the inside area which allows you to give it a real good clean .

What i have also done when replacing the upper dispenser tray is keep the old one and when a get a bit of spare time , give it a good clean out and hey presto ! a nearly new upper dispenser tray ready as a stand-by when needed

i come across this quite often just remove top of dispenser then you can split the top half in two and just clean the crud away with a brush nice quick job n good as new when done (i use a putty knife to pop the top half apart)

    hope this helps, paul

Yep I quite agree, it’s just as easy to strip the dispenser apart and clean it. It may take a little longer, but the customer is always impressed.
