    Hi

    I hope someone can advise me here

    I have the above dryer not heating and the element is truly burnt out – bit dangerous I thought as the dryer was only purchased Dec 04.

    However, I can order and replace the element but what caused the burn out? How do you test the thermostats are cutting out. I dont want to blow or burn out another one. Also where can I get one from ?

    They two thermostats are curently showing short ( as expected at ambient) How to test these devices?

    I suspect the element blew as some do and is totally un-related to the thermostats IMHO
