Bosch WTA3003 dryer not starting

Bosch tumble dryer model wta3003
Our dryer has suddenly failed to start. The timer can be heard operating but no tumble. The drum can be started with a small helping hand and the dryer will then wortk until progam is finished.

I’ve inspected the belt which seems in good order with a good tension.

We have 2 babies under 2 years so we need this dryer working asap.

Any ideas?

It’s part of the motor that needs repairing; that can be done very reasonably by an qualified engineer.

Edit – Don’t mess around with the dryer while it’s plugged in :zap: If you have a panal off, the machine must be unplugged!
