Went to this the other day, Vent hose was blocked at the wall, Unblocked, reset stat, All seemed ok but a few weeks later and cust says it keeps overheating – The machine and the clothes etc feel red hot and it pops the stat (which they have reset themselves a few times but feel its getting too hot to use now).
I’m sure there’s no blockage and the drum seem to be turning fine, Any ideas?

Not sure if this is the Crossley type from the model number (not all that familiar with Bosch mod no) but if it is I had one not so long ago where the vent stat which is by the filter had all crudded over inside the chamber and wasn’t sensing the tempreture properly and overheating – worth a check and might save a headache 😉

Ollie, check that the motor start capacitor is ok. A weak cap can stop the drum rotating when loaded and cause safety to trip due to lack of airflow. Wiz
