    Bosch WTA3200GB/06 vented drier. FD7901 00172.

Wet washing in the drum; start on extra dry (or any cycle really). The drum turns back and forth then the heater is switched in. Heat continues until the drum stops and reverses. Heater will not come back on unless you restart the cycle.
I suspect the relay on the PCB – any ideas??? 😕

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Should only heat in the clockwise direction 😀
If the limit temp is reached onthe NTC it will switch the heat off for app 2 mins

    Cheers, Greg!
Unfortunately, once the heat has turned off (only really on for the first 20 – 30 seconds or as long as the drum is rotating that way) it is then switched off (relay clicks off on PCB); drum reverses and the heat never comes on again. I have let it run for several minutes with wet washing inside and it tumbled back and forth several times but no heat, except on the first tumble.
Is the NTC, the one in the door under the filter involved? The machine has little chance to build any level of heat at all in the time allowed. 😕
    ‘Tis a strange one…….. :rolls:

    Hope you can assist further,

    Steve.

Yes that’s the one Steve, open circuit very likely?

    Thanks for the reply, Martin!!
I pulled the connection plug off the NTC to check that while I was at it, but the machine just went dead and wouldn’t even select a program. It just flashed the ‘iron ‘dry’ lamp and did nothing. Reconnected the NTC and off it went again. 😕

Well as Greg said earlier that NTC must be permanently reading overheat resistence rather than being open circuit. I’m sure changing it will be the best course of action (least costly too 😉 )
