Haven’t spent a lot of time on these, so would like some idea’s before I start digging a hole for myself.

Heater and reset stat both checked ok.

When I set the dryer to any program, the heater comes on for about 30 seconds, then goes off never to come back on again.
I suspect PCB/Thermistor but would like to hear from someone who has worked on these more if possible..

    Thanks in advance.

    Btw, I’m not the first, http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … t=wta+3204

But still no answer really. 🙁

Being as these are sensor dryers, testing without a damp washload causes all sorts of problems. The brush pick-up senses no resistance and therefore the heat shuts down anyway. So start with one damp towel in there at least! 😉

    Hi
It would turn for at least 2 mins before aborting with no damp load or drum sensor fault as Martin said 😀
Make sure the airflow circuit is clear and filter is clear 😀
Heater is only activated when the drum turns in a clockwise direction and when working temp is reached on one NTC, it will turn off the heater for 2 mins.
IMHO I would say NTC/S out of tolerance, turning heater off too soon if airflow as above is ok.

Thanks, I have tested with load and the airflow is clear, so I’ll go for the ntc then.

    Cheers guys 🙂
