Bosch WTA4409GB/03 Tumble Dryer

Hi,

I recently replaced the heating element in the above, after it stopped heating up.

It then worked fine for a few weeks, but has now stopped heating up again. Assuming it’s not the element again, according to the Bosch manual there are 3 or 4 thermostats / temperature regulators, and at £40-£70 each I don’t want to buy them all!.

Is thermostat P/N 423039 the most likely culprit, or does anyone have any other recommendations / advice?.

get a multimeter, set it on the buzz setting

taking each thermostat in turn, disconnect 1 wire then touch the terminals to both sides of the stat. if it buzzes its ok, reconnect wire and try the next one

do any of these stats have a reset button ?
