    Good afternoon,

I have a problem with the above dryer cutting out intermittently
and wonder if I could obtain some advice on the appliance?

The m/c is fine for several cycles, but will then randomly cut out.

When it does cut out the on/off led does not illuminate, then around five minutes later this lights up again, and all is fine until it cuts out again at any stage or time of cycle.

I had hoped replacing the front NTC sensor would have cured the fault, yet the problem remains.

Now wondering where to look next… I’m aware that there are other sensors and relays, as well as the main electronic control module, but would welcome some help.

    Kind regards,

    jonty

Dryer problem looking very much like faulty electronic control module to me.

Have replaced both temp’ sensors now, and problem remains; cutting out randomly, and re-powering back up randomly too, before immediately cutting out again, or working perfectly for several hours, before breaking down again.

Any thoughts on other possible causes appreciated.

Assuming that it is completely turning off then on again then it sounds like the SMPS chip on the board is failing.
