If you cannot work that out, should you be looking inside the appliance ?
😥

Better give it up and find something else to do then.
38years in the trade was a waste of time.

Participantlid off – screws out of rear and top of panel – drop down front base panel to reveal 2 lower front screws then lift the panel as the front edge is located on some pins.

The man who declares that he won’t post advice, posts advice.
Well done and thank you.

I thought it was sensible.
If you cannot work out how to remove the side panel what chance have you when you get inside of removing the components. :rolls:
I`ve never in all my yrs been instructed on how to remove panels. 😉
Sorry if it upsets people, but I`d be worried if I took my car to a garage who did not know how to open the bonnet. 😯

Like all your other vast array of skills I guess it just comes naturally to you. :rolls:
No one knows all the answers and the very essence of UKWG’s is the ability to ask questions of ones peers and ‘hopefully’ get a constructive response.

I suppose removing panels could be difficult and technically challenging.
So I`ll help you.
â–º Remove worktop.
â–º Remove fascia
â–º Remove screws A
â–º Unlock side panel at the rear and pull out of the front holders.I cannot copy the picture from the service main frame page, Screws A are down the rear and along the top.
Front holders are located at the front.

There we are, now that didn’t hurt did it ( apart from the sarcastic dig at the beginning).
I’m willing to bet that most engineers with any length of service will have come across a machine that they couldn’t get into without specialist knowledge, a manual or a crowbar. 😀
Take the small Hotpoint/Creda tumble dryer cabinet removal. Fortunately I have the manual but how many people had a head scratching moment before finding the tiny screw behind the timer knob has to be removed to get the cabinet off. 😉

i remember going to an 18 series hotpoint and the customer had to tell me how to get into the front panel
was that long ago when hotpoint used a module and pmc to control the motor
we all have our bad day where we cant see the wood for the trees

Maybe I`m having a bad day.
I was up most of last night with temperature and Ebola symptoms.
But I still for the life of me cannot understand why removing a dryers side panel warrants asking on here.
There isn`t a day that goes by that I don`t have an appliance I`ve never worked on before.
I changed a cooling fan today on a Kenwood range cooker, never done that before.
But lids and panels, there isn`t really many places to put fixings, there either on the top, front, side or bottom. :rolls:
I`m sure others agree with me, they just don`t believe it warrants comment or abuse back.
