ParticipantOh what fun! Hope someone can help.
Bosch condenser t/dryer runs for 10 mins approx then aborts all cycles/any cycle to finish `filter light` flashing = end.
Filter and filter recess spotless, condenser spotless and no blockages! Things tried and noticed because luckily I do not normally work on these things but dropped myself in with both feet with this one: set on cotton very dry with an 800 spun load, about a w/m 3/4 load size for test purposes, starts on 2hrs 17 secs then times down to 2hrs 11secs then jumps tp 40mins times down to 34 mins then aborts programe. Hmm! Tried it on `freshen-up` where I think the heater doesn`t come on, starts on 20mins times t0 13 mins then aborts. Also noted that at no time on any test did the drun reverse-only went clockwise- which seemed a triffle odd? Any ideas please? And yes I have seen the frightening price of the pcboard. Perhaps a sensor, I haven`t rely got a clue so has anyone had this problem before. Thanks and sorry it is long winded but at least you get the full info in one hit. Check the heating element isn’t clogged with fluff . For the ‘check filter’ led to illuminate , there must be a restriction of air flow and I’ve seen a blocked heater cause this fault.

Thanks. I`m going back there this morning. Seems like a fairly simple problem and now it`ll be cold I can have a look at the heater area without risking burnt fingers.I`ll report back later.

Ha! No such luck. The heater is as clean as a whistle, the fan is too, and the front fan also. My current thinking is: that it o/heats but not because of a blockage, not because there is a fault with the thermistors- I heated up the heater thermistor wiith my handy hair dryer and watched the resistance change with the heat, I also did this with the one in the filter area, what it is is that the t/dryer doesn`t ever reverse, if it did the heater should stop heating so the m/ch slightly cools before going the other way back to heat again, the way it relvolves is clockwise, the drum stops every now and again then carries on same direction as always-clockwise as looking at the front of the machine, tested on cotton very dry, went wrong several times and freshen up, tested from cold, where it got hotter than 20 degrees but today it didn`t abort the freshen up programme and made it to the end, but aborted the very dry cycle as expected…..watcha think folks because were are talking Henley reses here who are full of sarkey comments to someone trying to help them and don`t want to call out Bosch or someone else who knows ( because it`ll cost `em ) as suggested to her even before I ponced through their front door into their £700,000 abode. Anyone got any other ideas, anyone ever have this.

I would check the wiring at the heater plug, element side. They put some sort of resin moulding on the element side on later machines, early ones had nothing. I have found you can get moisture shorting the probe on the element side. Normally I dry out as best I can, scrape any crap away as best then put some adhesivo over the whole wiring plug loom entry points.
You can tell by careful visual inspection, and your fault symptons point at this:)April 29, 2015 at 9:22 pm #426888sce

Thanks you could be right. And as for the drum always rotating in one direction; how could this moisture affecting the probe account for that? I see that someone called Rocker and ChrisR have had similar problems with there Barvarian pieces of trouble too.

It only rotates one direction. The paddles are supposedly designed to keep the load constantly moving back to front and back again. As to your fault , it certainly is an odd one , one that I don’t think I’ve seen before.
