    Hi
I have a customer dryer Bosch WTE84307GB/08 which works for approximately 30 minutes then cuts out and the display is blank. Once it cools down it will work again repeating the above fault. I have fitted a new complete heater element unit. Customer rang to say it has the same fault.
Any ideas what it is please.
    Regards
    Jaz

When the display goes blank is the Start/Stop LED still illuminated?

I didn’t take note of the Start/Stop LED i’m afraid. What are you thinking Martin?

Only that if it is total power supply problem the whole machine rather than just the display will go ‘dead’. And the power light will at least be on even if the display goes dead meaning there is a connection prob with the display.

Customers reports over the phone are often way off the mark anyway. Too much DRAMA and not enough rational fact! 😉

2 possible causes that i have seen. The main pcb failing is one. The second is the mains socket….which I’ve seen more than once. Ask them to plug it into another socket to see if the fault disappears. If not, then I’d certainly be thinking pcb.
