The condensing water light on my Bosche WTL5500 comes on after aout a minuteof running despitethe tank being dry. Is there a sensor or switch somewere which can be fixedto correct this?

Check the pump chamber is clear and that the pump hose (to the water container) isn’t blocked. A blockage THE most likely reason for the fault.

ok – have disconnected the hose at the top & can blow through it, so that doesn’t seem to be blocked. I have tracked down where the pump is, but can’t work out how to get it out. Also, how would I check whether it’s working or not?

Access is a little restricted for sure. Take it out and clean the float chamber then pour a pint of water into the pump chamber before reassembly, turn on dryer and that pint of water should pump up into the water container. That is a simple test to ensure that the pump works AND that it’s not blocked.:D
