ParticipantHi folks
Been to this today – empty light on when container empty.
tube clear- blow n suck (without getting a mouthfull 🙂 ) and all ok
Tried to remove pump but couln’t get cover off despite removing motor connectors/belts etc to gain access to water chamber and any fluff blockage in motor. Also tested at motor as I couldn’y hear it running and think it is o/circ. but wasn’t to sure which were pump connections or float switch connections.Questions 🙂
Presume the front connections (grey) are the pump? – these are o/circ so presume this is a faulty pump. Other connections (brown) at the rear are the float switch connections? – these are closed circuit. (the full light was off when i tested these).
If this is a faulty pump what is the easiest way to get the pump cover off as I was struggling to get this off without breakin it, and once the pump cover is off pressume the pump comes straight out.
Thanks guys – help appreciated
Mick

ParticipantDid you take the black hose off that connects too the pump, then you need too wiggle it out.

Thanks for the reply Simon
yes did take off the hose, even took out the clamp that holds the motor in as i thought that might be fouling the cover – only thing I didn’t take off was the pully system altho that seems clear – looked to me as if it was fouling on the motor coller if anything. wiggled tugged and twisted as much as I dare without breaking but just didnt seem to want to come free.
Do I have to take off pulley system as well?

ParticipantThere should be no reason to take the pulley off. With the motor coller have you tried twisting the motor
slightly also there 25 torx has been removed from the front of the cover. The cover has to get over the top of pump

thanks simon
had removed the screw 😉 but hadnt tried twisting the motor as it all seemed pretty solid and for fear the whole lot suddenly coming loose n spending load of time refitting everything. Just wondered what the knack was to getting the pump out was?
still presuming the front connections are the pump cuz looks like they are o/circ. so new pump required.

ParticipantOnce the cover is off the pump and float come straight out pump has two pilot holes it sits in. I’ve not seen any o/c but a few siezed solid
