Dryer set to cupboard dry. Drying light on. Alternates direction at approx 4 sec intervals, does this 6 times, then stops with the anti crease/end light on. Can anyone help? Cheers. Steve.

Firstly Steve it’s important to test these dryers with a couple of damp towels inside at least OK? Empty and it won’t work and will only do as you have already observed. Tumbles back and forth for a couple of mins then the end light comes on anyway! 😉

So, if it happens under a test load condition? Then firstly check the metal drum paddles are clear and that nothing is stuck to the drum like old band aids, sticky labels or bits of tumble dryer sheets? If they are all clear then next check the front and centre band carbon brush contacts on the drum are clean and making good contact?

Check that the overheat stat hasn’t tripped (red button reset) and the air intake is clear etc?

Can’t think of anything else at this stage 😕

    HTH? 😀

Cheers Martin. Yes it was checked under load conditions. I will check the rest out. Steve
