    Hi Folks

Been to this one today and looks like drain pump either jammed or blocked with fluff as “empty container” light on and chamber at rear of condenser quite full and a fair bit of fluff floating around in the waterl..

How do I get to pump?.. looks like it is just below motor and pulley as 2 sets of connections there (presumably pump and float switch)…

Is this a drum out job and if so how is the best way to go about it?.. The srong looking tension spring looks a pig to get back on if it is a drum out job..

    Thanks

    Mick

    Hi Mick
Easiest first 🙂 Take lid of appliance off and locate the uplift pipe going to water tank.
Half turn the circular that pipe that it is on and lift up wards, winkle pipe off and check there first for blockage.

    hi mick
i went to a bosch condenser the other week. to check pump take side panel off, the spring is easy to take off with pliers.on cover over housing is a screww remove this and pump located underneath.clean out fluff.
Beware the out come of my repair ended up was the fan picked up the water then flicked it onto the heater then took the control board out. javascript:emoticon(‘’)
    Crying or Very sad ouch!!

    good luck

Went back to day to check hose and clear pump but looks like cleaning out water catchment sump at the rear the other day, has cured the problem as it’s working ok, pumping water into container (better than for a long time says lady)..

Thanks for the pointers guys and will keep these in mind if and when I get another of these

By the way just out of interest does the pump on this m/c come on intermitant or continueous and if intermitent does any one know a rough time sequence eg. how long will I have to wait for the pump to kick in?

    Thanks

Normal operation, pump will run 30 secs on, 90 secs off. When the container LED is lit the pump will run 90 secs on, 30 secs off.
